ABOUT US
Wooter Africa is a sport organization registered in Tanzania East, Africa. Our mission is to support communities and youth in Africa through sports. It was founded in 2017, and started to operates as a basketball league powered by Wooter Apparel. We donate custom sports uniforms, equipment, refurbish and build sports facilities for children and organizations in need. It all began when Hamid Suleiman Ahmad contacted Wooter through social media back in 25th February 2017.
Mr. Hamid Suleiman Ahmad, WooterAfrica organization C.E.O and Wooter Apparel Main Brand Ambassador in Africa, at Mao Tse Tong Stadium in WooterAfrica 3rd season tournament in Zanzibar Island 2019. The tournament involved 21 basketball teams of which 20 from Unguja and Pemba in Zanzibar and 1 came from Morogoro, September 2021.
TEAMS
Over past 4 years since 2017, we have organized 3 seasons by teaming up with different organizations in Tanzania, East Africa. We have successful succeeded to donate custom apparel uniforms through our tournaments to more than 59 teams
We have been operating WooterAfrica Basketball tournament in three regions in Tanzania, East Africa since 2017. We hosted our 1st tournament in Zanzibar 2017 were 12 teams of Jr and Srs participated, 14 teams in Morogoro 2018, 21 teams including men Sr and Jrs plus women Srs in Zanzibar 2020. We currently about to host our 4th season of Sr men and women which will tip off in October this year after finishing our 3rd season of 10 Junior teams commenced in Dar es Salaam from March to April, 2021.
WHO ARE WE?
Wooter Africa is an organization commissioned to work with other organization, companies and other stake holders on improving sports in Africa. We are currently having a league in Tanzania, East Africa known as WooterAfrica which has successful worked with different basketball associations in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar Islands of Unguja and Pemba in organising 3 seasons over past 4 years and provide a lot of donations of equipments like basketballs, team apparels, refurbishing basketball courts and host clinics . Our aim is to uplift the talents in Africa starting with basketball sport.
Our Mission
Wooter Africa’s mission is to bring together communities and support the youth in Africa with sports. Wooter Africa is an organization which runs organized sports programs including leagues, clubs, teams, tournaments, and player development with a goal of building facilities which will bring community together in the name of sports to spread love, unity and peace.
We have refurbished Basketball Courts of Muslim University of Morogoro and Kurasini Heats. We donated custom apparels to universities like Muslim University of Morogoro(MUM), Jordan University, Sokoine Agricultural University and Mzumbe University. We provided equipment to basketball academy organizations like Basketball255, Mchenga Basketball Academy and Unmatched Basketball in Dar Es Salaam, Don Rua Academy and Ifakara Basketball club in Morogoro. We have also donated unnumbered quality WooterAfrica basketballs to more than 30 local teams in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
Wooter Africa was founded in 2017 and is currently running a basketball tournament in Tanzania, East, Africa. Our aim is to uplift the talent and skills of players in Africa through sports. We aim to reach out all around Africa. We currently work in Tanzania, East Africa by working with different Basketball Associations. We keeps growing and hope to reach the top of our dream goals.

We do whatever it takes to support the community and athletes in Africa, but we can’t do it without you.
From building new basketball courts, running events and training equipment to new uniforms and apparel we work with the poorest and most vulnerable communities throughout the continent.
As of today, all funds have been donated by Wooter Apparel to run these programs, but our goal is to get support from Governments, companies, other organizations and stakeholders to promote and expand our operations and grant more people to participate in our tournaments.
Our goal is to get many people involved to promote and expand our operations and grant more people to participate. We aim to building sports facilities to make it easier to run our programs and allow more kids to enjoy sports and develop their talents and skills.

Lack of sport facilities makes kids in Africa play and organizing events under unstable and unpleasant environments that is why we been seeking other donors to donate with us to build sports facilities in Africa
